The
Raiser's Edge Screens
-
You can
now maximize more screens in various areas of the program, including Records, Query,
Export, and Import.
Microsoft Office Integration
-
The Raiser’s
Edge is now compatible with
Microsoft Office
2007. If you use
Office 2007, you must download
Collaboration Data Objects, version 1.2.1, from
www.microsoft.com to be
completely compatible with
The Raiser’s
Edge.
Blackbaud NetCommunity Integration
-
If you integrate Blackbaud NetCommunity with
The Raiser’s Edge 7.82, you can easily view information
from Blackbaud NetCommunity within The Raiser's
Edge. On a constituent record, the new NetCommunity tab
displays information about the constituent’s activity as a user on
your Blackbaud NetCommunity website.
-
You can now view or specify whether a gift, event registration,
membership transaction, or volunteer job request was originally
downloaded from Blackbaud NetCommunity.
-
You can also include
additional information from Blackbaud
NetCommunity in queries and exports in The Raiser’s
Edge.
-
If you integrate, the Online vs.
Offline Giving Report is now
available. Accessed through Reports on the
Raiser’s Edge bar, this financial report enables you to compare
gifts received through your Blackbaud NetCommunity
website with constituent giving through other means during a
time period you define. The exact data included depends on your
parameter tab settings.
For more information, see the
Reports Guide.
-
For more information about Blackbaud NetCommunity
integration enhancements, see the New Features and Enhancements
chapter of the
7.82 Update Guide.
CounterPoint SQL Integration
-
With The Raiser's Edge 7.82, you can
transfer organization constituents from The Raiser's Edge
to CounterPoint SQL and download organization membership and donation
transactions. For more information, see the
CounterPoint SQL Integration Guide.
Records
Constituents -
-
On the Appeals tab of a
constituent record, four new columns have been added: Marketing Segment, Marketing Source
Code, Mailing ID, and Finder Number. These columns
capture information related to your organization’s direct marketing
fundraising initiatives and can be used to receive data from
Blackbaud Direct Marketing. For more information about the
Appeals tab, see the Attributes, Notes, Media, & Appeals chapter of
the
Constituent Data Entry Guide. For more information about
Blackbaud Direct Marketing, see the
Blackbaud
Direct Marketing documentation.
Events -

If you have the optional module Event Management, you can now easily change a guest record
to a registrant record. From the menu bar of a guest record, select
Participant, Convert to Registrant. For more
information, see the
Event Management Data Entry Guide.
-
When you register a
participant for a grouped event and the participant is already
registered for an event in the group, the event’s checkbox on the
Select Events screen of the grouped event registration wizard is
automatically marked and disabled.
For more information, see the Multiple Registration for Grouped
Events chapter of the
Event Management Data Entry Guide.
MatchFinder Database -
-
If you have the
optional module MatchFinder, you can now access
information in the MatchFinder database directly from
The Raiser’s Edge. You can also use the cross-reference tool
to easily link organizations in The Raiser’s Edge to
company records in the MatchFinder database. For more
information, see the MatchFinder Guide.

In The Raiser's Edge 7.82, several field names in

the field name in each module prior to this release and the new
field names in the Updated Field Name column.

the

In Mail, when you select a font for a mailing such as a
label or card, you can now view the appearance of the fonts as you
select one. In the Form font field, the drop-down menu
displays each font name in its own typeface.
-
The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) now requires that a donor who
receives good or services in excess of $75 in exchange for a single
donation also receives written disclosure of the value of the
benefits received. When you generate receipts in Mail, you
can now select whether to print the value of the benefits the
constituent receives for the gift on the receipt. For more
information, see the
Mail Guide.

You can now use International Automated Ticket Systems (IATS),
owned by Ticketmaster, to authorize and process direct debit
transactions as well as credit card transactions in
The Raiser’s Edge. To process your direct debit gifts
through IATS, you do not need to install additional software. Simply
set up an account with IATS/Ticketmaster, set a few options in
Configuration, and begin to create direct debit transmission
files in Batch. For more information, see theElectronic
Funds Transfer (EFT) Guide.

A user's password can now have up to 50 characters, but must
have a minimum of 8 characters.

limits access to sensitive information in your actions. For more
information about security, see the Security chapter of the
Configuration & Security Guide.

copy of email to From address option
copies the sent message to the email address included in the

the sent message to another email address.
A field appears with this option, allowing you to enter the
email address to which you want a copy sent.

class exists for you to access the
API. The wrapper, along
with a limited number of other classes, exposes the Batch DLLs that
provide a way for you to programmatically drive gift batch. The
API Essentials Guide
includes new code samples that use the new wrapper to drive gift
batch through
The Raiser’s
Edge API.
