After you add an application user, you can use the Application User Search page at any time to find the user by criteria such as login name or whether the user is a system administrator. If the user is linked to a constituent, you can search by constituent name.
From Administration, click Security. The Security page appears.
Click Application user search. The Application User Search screen appears.
Note: Because your application and database exist in a hosted environment, the results grid on the Application User Search screen may list a number of Blackbaud users who are system administrators. These users help clients setup and implement applications in our hosted environment.
Enter the search criteria to use to find the user record, such as login name or display name.
A user’s display name is the user name along with your organization’s site ID, such as JohnSm1212.
A user’s login name is the domain and user name appended with your organization’s site ID. The domain and user name with organization site ID are separated by a backslash, such as BLACKBAUDHOST\JohnSm1212. Since ResearchPoint is a hosted application, the domain is always BLACKBAUDHOST.
To return only system administrators in the search results, select Is system administrator.
To match the search criteria exactly as entered, select Match all criteria exactly.
If the user is linked to a constituent, you can also search by constituent name. To do so, enter the name in the Constituent name field.
Click Search. The program searches the database for the application user.
In the Results grid, all users that match your search criteria appear.
Tip: If your search returns more than 100 users, only the first 100 appear in the grid.
Click the row of the user record to open.
