If you have a group of people who are not a household and not a formal organization, but yet they donate together, you may want to add them as a group to research for a potential gift.
Before you set up a prospect group, you need to configure your group types. From the Prospects page, under Configuration, click Constituent Group Types.
From the Prospects page, under Prospect research, click Add a group. The Add a group screen appears.
On the Details tab, you name the group, set a primary contact, and enter contact information.
You also have the choice to consolidate all the wealth data from their individual wealth and ratings records or only after a specific date.
On the Members tab, search for and select the members of the group. The program searches through existing records in the program to add as members.
However, from the Search screen, if you do not find the member in your database, you can add a new record.
When you are ready, click Save. The new group record appears.
If you need to add additional members, from the group's wealth and ratings record, under View as in the left navigation bar, click Constituent. From the group's constituent record, you can add additional people to the group on the Members tab.
