Mobile Authenticators

If you enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) or use a solution where Blackbaud enforces MFA, you can use a mobile authenticator app on your personal device to generate short-lived MFA confirmation codes that verify your identity when you sign in. An authenticator app can receive confirmation codes even if your device is offline or doesn't have cellular service. With this extra layer of security, someone with your email address and password still needs a confirmation code from your authenticator app to access your Blackbaud ID.

We recommend one of these authenticator apps:

• Google Authenticator for Google Android or Apple iOS

• Auth0 Guardian for Google Android or Apple iOS

• Twilio Authy for Google Android, Apple iOS, Google Chrome, or desktop

• Microsoft Authenticator for Microsoft Windows Phone, Google Android, or Apple iOS

You can also leverage hardware, such as Yubikey and the Yubico Authenticator app, to set up MFA.
