On the Joint name formats tab, to specify one constituent as the primary when a name format includes two spouses, select this option and select the constituent to consider the primary. Altru lists the primary constituent first in addressees and salutations for joint communications. |
List constituents from the following selection first |
To specify one constituent of two spouses as the primary when the constituent appears in a selection, select this option and select the selection of constituents to consider the primary. For example, if you select a selection of alumni from the class of 1980 and Wendy Hernandez is a member of that class, marketing efforts to her household would interpret a “<Constituent> and <Spouse>” name format as “Wendy and Robert Hernandez,” even if Robert is marked as primary for the household. If you select this option, select the constituent to consider the primary when both or neither spouse appears in the selection. |
