Add Interaction Screen

The following table explains the items on the Add interaction screen. For information about how to access this screen, see Add Constituent Interactions.

Screen Item

Description

Constituent

For a constituent group or household, select the group or member to whom the interaction applies.

Summary

Enter a summary to help identify the purpose or objective of the interaction.

Status

Select whether the interaction is pending, complete, declined, or canceled.

Owner

Select the binoculars and use the search screen to select the constituent to perform the interaction. For information about the search screen, see Constituent Search.

If a constituent is linked to a system user and that user adds an interaction to any constituent record, the interaction owner is automatically defaulted to the user adding the interaction. The user can change the interaction owner manually if needed.

Category and Subcategory

If your organization categorizes interactions, select the applicable categories for the interaction, such as Cultivation, Volunteer Opportunities, or Mission-related.

Expected date

Enter the date the owner expects to perform the interaction.

Actual date

If the interaction status is Completed, enter the date the owner performed the interaction.

Event

If the interaction occurs at an event, select the binoculars. The Event Search screen appears so you can select the event to associate with the interaction.

Expected start time/Expected end time

Enter the time you expect the interaction to begin. If you enter an Expected start time, you must enter an Expected end time.

Expected end time/Actual end time

Enter the time the interaction actually began. If you enter an Actual start time, you must enter an Actual end time.

Time zone

Select the time zone to associate with the start and end times. If you enter start and end time information, you must select a time zone.

Comment

Enter any additional comments or information about the interaction.

Participants

Select any additional constituents involved in the interaction. For information about constituent relationships, see Relationships.
