Manage Registrants for Preregistered Programs

When tickets are sold for a preregistered event, you associate a patron with the order. This patron can be an attendee or a non-attending “host” registrant. For example, John Connor may register his daughters for an art workshop that he will not attend. In this case, the daughters are attending registrants, and John Connor is saved with the order as a non-attending registrant.

During the sales process, you also select price types and enter registration details for attendees. Attendees can be unnamed registrants identified only by price type, or you can select or add a constituent record for each. If applicable, registration details — such as contact information, meal preferences, or shirt sizes — are associated with each attendee.

Tip: To learn how to register a patron for an event, see Add Registrants and Guests.

Note: If event restrictions exist on a patron’s constituent record, they appear on the Registrants tab of the event. For example, if a constituent has a nut allergy listed on the Personal tab of their constituent record, it appears on the Registrants tab.

After a preregistered ticket sale is complete, you can:

  • Edit registrant details.

  • Mark registrants as canceled.

  • Print a roster for manual check-in.

  • Mark registrants as attended or not attended after the event.

Tip: Tasks related to managing registrants for a preregistered program are typically completed by a Guest Services Manager.
