Email Acknowledgement Settings

From the Blackbaud Merchant Services Web Portal, under Settings, configure details for email acknowledgements that are sent when you enter transactions through the web portal or Blackbaud MobilePay Terminal. For example, you specify:

  • Your organization's from name and from address

  • Default subject lines for transactions and refunds

  • Which email addresses receive replies and failure notifications

  1. From Settings, expand Email acknowledgement.

  2. Select Edit email acknowledgement.

  3. Enter required info:

    • From display name and From address — Your organization's name and email address to appear as the sender.

    • Reply to email address — The email address to receive replies when someone responds to an email acknowledgement.

    • Failure forwarding email address — The email address to receive delivery failure notifications, such as for email bounces.

    • Donation/transaction subject line — The default subject line to appear for transaction acknowledgements.

      Tip: To include the amount of the transaction in the subject line, use "[total]" as a placeholder. For example, enter "Thank you for your payment of [total]."

    • Refund subject line — The default subject line to appear for refund acknowledgements.

  4. Choose whether to always use the default donation/transaction subject line.

  5. Choose whether to send email acknowledgements for transactions entered through Virtual terminal.

  6. Select Save.
