BBPOS WisePOS™ E Internet Connection

To process payments through the WisePOS E, you must connect the device to the internet. While connecting via Ethernet is recommended, you can also connect via WiFi. If both are configured, the device prioritizes connecting via Ethernet when possible.

To connect your WisePOS E via Ethernet, you must have the charging cradle dock. This is an optional accessory that you can order from the Blackbaud Merchant Services Web Portal.

  1. Connect the Ethernet cable from your dock to your router.

  2. Connect the dock to power via the charging cable.

    Note: Only USB-A to USB-C charging cables are supported.

  3. Insert the reader into the dock.

When the reader is properly docked, the charging icon and Ethernet icon display in the status bar on the screen.

  1. From the device's menu, select Settings then WiFi settings.

  2. Select a WiFi network from the list.

  3. Enter the WiFi network password and select Connect.

    Note: Your WiFi network must use WPA-Personal or WPA2-Personal encryption and be password protected.
