Start an Address Validation Process

To certify your addresses with the Coding Accuracy Support Standards (CASS) of the United States Postal Service (USPS), you must run an address validation process. When you run an address validation process, you can edit the process to select the constituents and addresses to include.

  1. On the address validation process page, under Step 1, select Start process on the action bar. The Run address validation process screen appears. The items on this screen are the same as the items on the Edit address validation process screen. For information about the items on this screen, refer to Edit a Validate Addresses Process.

    Note: To run a process from its status page, select Start process under Tasks.

  2. Edit the information as necessary.

  3. Select Start. The program validates the selected address to ensure they meet CASS-certification. The status page for the process appears.
