Description

Name

Enter a name to identify the multiple batch commit process. This information appears on the Commit Multiple Batches page.

You can enter up to 100 characters in this field. The name of each multiple batch commit process must be unique.

Description

Enter a detailed description to help identify the multiple batch commit process. For example, you can describe which batches the process commits, such as "All committable revenue batches." This information appears on the Commit Multiple Batches page. You can enter up to 255 characters in this field.

Site

Select the site that uses this process. If the process is available to users associated with any site, select "All sites."

Commit criteria

In the Commit criteria frame, select the batches to include in the multiple batch commit process. The process will include all batches in the selection that can be committed.

To include all batches in your database, select All committable batches.

To include a selection of batches, choose Selected batches. The Selection field is enabled. Select the binoculars and use the Selection Search screen to find or create the selection that contains the committable batches to include in the process.

If the selection is created from an ad-hoc query or a smart query instance, you can select the pencil icon to edit the query used to generate the selection.

When you run a multiple batch commit process, it can commit only those batches you have rights to administer. If your Commit criteria selection includes batches you do not have rights to commit, those batches create exceptions when you run the batch.

When you run the multiple batch commit process, you can change your selection as necessary.

Create exception batches

To create new batches of all records in each batch that does not commit, mark Create exception batches. When you run the multiple batch commit process, you can change your selection as necessary.

Create output selections

To create a query of all batches the process commits to the database, mark Create output selections. When you run the multiple batch commit process, you can change your selection as necessary.

We recommend you create an output selection query, which you can use when you create a mailing for the constituents for whom you added payments in a revenue batch.

Create control reports

To create a control report after the process commits each batch to the database, mark this checkbox. The control reports describe the committed batches and provide information about the records included in each batch. When you run the multiple batch commit process, you can change your selection as necessary.

Delete batches after commit

To delete each batch file after the process commits it to the database, mark Delete batches after commit. To reduce the size of your database, you may want to mark this checkbox. When you run the multiple batch commit process, you can change your selection as necessary.
