Blackbaud Internet Solutions (BBIS)

Previously, if an organization had MatchFinder Online active and matching gifts were enabled for a donation part, then a link to Look it up appeared after the My company will match my gift checkbox. When donors selected the link, MatchFinder Online appeared and enabled donors to search for a company.

MatchFinder Online was retired. Therefore, we've removed the Look it up link from all user interfaces in Blackbaud Internet Solutions.

Thus, donors should refer directly to their employer's matching gift program for details.

The Look it up link was removed from:

  • Donation forms (classic)

  • Ecards

  • TestConfig and ConfigInfo

  • Matching gifts in Blackbaud CRM

Donation Forms

Based on customer feedback, we’ve removed the character limit for branding card impact statements. Now, you can craft more detailed and compelling messages to inspire your donors. To maintain the engaging and streamlined look of the Optimized Donation Form, the impact statement text will display up to a maximum height of 300 px. This ensures your message stands out without disrupting the form’s clean design. To learn more about branding cards, see Get Started with Branding Cards.

To help you gracefully manage donation forms for fundraising campaigns that end, now you can close a form. Closing a form lets you:

  • Set a date and time for the form to stop accepting gifts.

  • Shows donors a custom message where you can include links to other forms or webpages.

  • Avoid broken links or QR codes.

  • Continue to view the form's statistics.

To give you more control in how you manage and track your organization's advertising efforts, donation forms now support Google Tag Manager. To learn more about how to use Google Tag Manager with donation forms, see Track Donation Forms with Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager.

To save time when posting to the general ledger, you can assign a revenue category from your CRM for recurring gift plans and their payments received through Online Giving. To learn how to set this preference, see Assign a Revenue Category.

Warning: To avoid duplicate recurring gift payments in Blackbaud CRM, don't generate payments for recurring gifts that originate from Online Giving. In Blackbaud CRM, remember to exclude payments with a revenue ID that starts with "OG-RG" in the selection for your recurring gift generate payments processes.

To give donors more choices on how your organization uses their gifts, you can add up to 30 designations on an Optimized Donation Form. For more information, see Add Designations to Donation Forms.

Add functionality to your Optimized Donation Forms with SKY add-in integrations from developers and Blackbaud partners. After you connect an add-in to your environment, the add-in appears under Optional fields when you create or edit an Optimized Donation Form. Remember, you need to be on the most recent service pack of Blackbaud CRM in order to receive these features from Blackbaud Donation Forms (Online Giving).
