Duplicate Record Check
When you add a new constituent, the program automatically uses the name and address entered to verify the constituent does not already exist in the database. If the program finds another individual constituent with the same last name and address information, the duplicate search screen appears and displays all possible duplicate constituents. Select how to handle the new constituent.
-
If the new constituent already exists in the database, select the existing constituent to use and select Use selected constituent. The program replaces the duplicate record with the selected constituent.
-
If the new constituent does not already exist in the database, select Ignore. The program adds the new constituent to the database.
-
If you are unsure whether the new constituent is a duplicate of an existing constituent, select Cancel so you can determine whether to add the new constituent or use existing constituent information.
