Intuit QuickBooks® (IIF) post format is an example of a tab delimited post file format typically imported into Intuit QuickBooks®. For information about import limitations, refer to the Intuit QuickBooks® user guide.

Description |
Transaction Type |
The keyword that identifies the type of transaction. This will always be General Journal. |
Date |
Post date of the transaction. |
Account |
The name of the account assigned to the transaction. |
Amount |
Amount of the transaction credited or debited to the GL account number. Debit amounts are always positive and credit amounts are always negative. |
In Intuit QuickBooks®, you can track customer balances when you use an account with the account type “Accounts Receivable.”
