Revenue Record Details

Information about each revenue transaction is summarized in revenue records. This includes payments, pledges, recurring gifts, matching gift claims, grant awards and miscellaneous payments.

Payments with limited characteristics are known as miscellaneous payments; which are managed from Treasury. You can select a post status for a miscellaneous payment or link one to a deposit. However, you can not apply a miscellaneous payment to a commitment.

Revenue transactions which aren't miscellaneous payments are associated with a constituent.

The revenue record shows:

  • The name of the constituent associated with the revenue. They paid.

Select the constituent name to view their info and go to their constituent record.

Note: Wrong constituent? See Change Constituent on a Revenue Record.

  • Details, including payment amount, receipt amount, and acknowledgement status.

  • Additional tabs, which vary based on the transaction type.

  • Transaction summary. Expand the summary to view payment amount, payment method details, and post status.

    • "Posted (includes 'Do not post' activity)." - Indicates you edited a posted payment and changed the post status to "Do not post"

    • "Posted (activity pending)." - Indicates you adjusted a posted payment.

    • If you edit a posted revenue transaction to reflect both "Not posted" and "Do not post" activity, the post status will show this update. "Not posted" status information takes precedence over and appears prior to "Do not post" status information.

Note: For information about the items specific to the record of a payment, pledge, recurring gift, or matching gift claim, refer to Payment Record, Pledge Record, Recurring Gift Record, or Matching Gift Claim Record.
