Polls
Use the polls content type to engage your constituents with questions or surveys.
Poll categories are used to store poll questions together as groups to show elsewhere. First create categories, then Add content to the category.
Page managers or content managers can create new poll categories, and add or edit polls within a category. Polls are added to an existing category or a new poll category can be created.

Max answers - Enter the maximum number of answers for polls in this category. We recommend a maximum of 6 answers per poll for optimal performance.

Select Core or School website.

Select Content.

Choose the content type you want to work with.
Polls are an "additional content type."

Select New next to the category name from the default poll category screen. Alternatively, select Edit for the category name, and then select Add poll.

Enter a poll question (required).

Enter the answers to the Poll question, selecting a color for each answer from the Color drop down list.

Select Locations to Publish the Poll to, if any.

Enter a Publish date (required) and an Expire date (optional).
The item will publish at 12:00 a.m. on the Publish date and will remain published until 11:59 p.m. on the Expire date. If the item is published on the current date, it will publish immediately when you Save.

Select Save & exit to return to the default Poll screen or Save/add another.

Select Core or School website.

Select Content.

Choose the content type you want to work with.
Polls are an "additional content type."

Select the Edit link corresponding to the category name.

To delete the poll, select the Delete corresponding to the Poll Question.

If the poll is shared with other categories, select Remove from this category only or Remove from all categories in the prompt screen.

Select Confirm.

Select Core or School website.

Select Content.

Choose the content type you want to work with.

If the content in the category is shared with other categories, select Remove from this category only or Delete from all categories in the prompt screen.

To edit a poll or its published locations:

Make any desired changes.

Select Save & exit.
When you include a poll as a piece of content (such as embedded on your school's website), respondents can then

choose a reply and then select Vote. Poll results automatically appear in the poll's content block after the respondent votes.

select View results. Poll results appear in the poll's content block.
