Setting up Blackbaud Billing management

Blackbaud Billing management requires several areas to be provisioned before regular usage can commence. Some settings are established once and then managed as needed, while others are prepared with each new school year.

1. Settings

   Prepared once and then as needed

   Define transaction rules, customize the online payment and Auto-Pay experience, and create the fees, payment plans, and more later defined under Billing years.

2. Billing years

   Prepared with each new school year

   Define tuition and fee calculation criteria and the conditions to be met for charges to be allocated between specific accounts. Billing years also includes the rules specifying payment plans, financial aid, and how advance payments are managed. Finally, define the periods for statement distribution.
