Create Advisory Section

Before creating an advisory section, an Advisory Manager must first offer the advisory. Advisory sections are the actual advisories in which students are enrolled and to which advisors are assigned.

Create an advisory section:

  1. From the persona menu, select Academics

  2. Head to Scheduling, Course selection and schedules, then switch the dropdown to Advisory

  3. Select Advisory Sections.

  4. Select the Year, Level, and Term. You can also filter on the Advisory Title. Then select View.

  5. Select Create Section across from the Advisory heading.

  6. Enter the number of sections to create (Note: a maximum if nine section can be created at one time.).

  7. Then, select Add to create the section(s).

  8. Finally, select Edit under the section to assign an advisor, a room, and add a block or use the Set Section Information task.
