Set Default Assignment Assigned and Due Times

Academic Group Managers and Gradebook Managers can set default assigned and due times for assignments. When adding and editing assignments, faculty can override these default times.

When setting the default assigned time, select a time that will best fit your school community. Keep in mind that Assignment Added notifications will send at the default time if the faculty member does not modify the time on their assignment. If you select 12:00 AM, email and text notifications will send at 12:00 AM, so you may want to select a time during the day, such as 7:00 or 8:00 AM.

Set the default assigned and due times for assignments:

  1. From the persona menu, select Academics, Grades, and then Grading setup.

  2. Next, select Assignment settings.

  3. Under Faculty defaults, select Edit.

  4. Under Adding assignments, enter the Assignment default assigned time and the Assignment default due time.

  5. Select Save.
