FacultyTypes

Academic group managers can create different faculty types (Professor, Associate Professor, etc.) so that when faculty are added to course sections, they can be associated with the correct title. Faculty is available by default.

Note: Types are mainly cosmetic and do not alter what the user can do or see. To change the user permissions, please see Roles & Personas.

Warning: Do not enter "Head Faculty" in this task.

Faculty Types

  1. Select Core in the persona menu.

  2. Next, select Users, User profile settings, and Personnel types.

  3. Select Add Type and then enter the new name and choose Faculty as the Type.

  4. You can now select Save, which will close the window, Save and Add Another to create another new type, or Cancel to undo all of your current changes.

faculty types:

  1. From the persona menu, select Academics.

  2. Select Scheduling and then Course selection and schedules. 

  3. When you select Classes and then Manage Sections, you can select the faculty and assign a Faculty Types role.

  4. Next, select Save Section.
