Day Attendance Lists
From Academics, select Attendance, then Day attendance list from the Related links section.
Day Attendance lists provide a condensed look at how absences compare against a student's daily schedule overall. The Day Attendance list will use that comparison to calculate a Day Equivalent number, which gives Attendance Managers an understanding of how much of a day was missed for each student.
The Day Equivalent calculation is only impacted when the Attendance Record Method is set to Per Period.
Attendance Managers can define how the Day Equivalent calculation is determined from the Attendance Record Method setting, Calculate day equivalent using.
The Day Attendance list adjusts based on the set Attendance Record Method:
-
Daily: The Day Equivalent will always display as 1.
-
Per Period: The Day Equivalent calculation will capture each period's recorded attendance type, and compare absences against the student's overall daily schedule to produce the Day Equivalent.
Students will only appear once per day in the Day Attendance list. If a student has two or more attendance entries for a school day (for example, an Unexcused Absence one block followed by an Excused Absence later in the day), then the student will be marked Excused for the day. The Reason, Category, and Block columns will display each unique attendance entry for a student's day.
Athletics absences do not contribute to the Day Equivalent calculation. Additionally, Attendance Reasons can be set to not contribute to the Day Equivalent calculation
