Manage Course Selections
Schedule managers can approve course requests, enter new course requests, bulk delete course requests, view students without enough requests, view students awaiting approval, and view all course requests from the Scheduling overview screen.
Note: Online signup managers do not have access to the Scheduling overview screen. They can approve/deny course requests through the Requests and recommendations work list. To learn more about this work list, view Requests and recommendations list.
To access:

Navigate to Academics.

Choose Scheduling and Course selection and schedules.

You will land on Overview.
Schedule managers can enter new course requests by student or in bulk:

On the Course requests panel, select More actions.

Select Enter requests.
-
Under Courses, select the following:
-
Year
-
School
-
Type: Request, Required, or Recommendation
-
Course: Use the search field to find the course
-
Alternate (optional): Use the search field to find the alternate course
-
Status: Pending or Approved
Tip: Use + Add another request to add multiple requests.

Select Next.

Under Students, there are several options available to add students:

Entire grade level(s) of students
-
Specific students: This option allows you to apply the course request(s) to specific students, who you can search for by name.

Student lists: This option allows you to apply the course request(s) to a Student list. To learn more, see Student Lists.

Students in particular course(es) last year: This option allows you to apply the course request(s) to all students who took a specific course the previous school year.

Students in particular class(es) last year: This option allows you to apply the course request(s) to all students in a particular section of a course from the previous school year.

Once you have added the needed students, select Add requests / recommendations.
Schedule managers can delete existing course requests by student or in bulk:

On the Course requests panel, select More actions.

Select Delete requests.

Under Courses, select the following:
-
Year
-
School
-
Type: You can select All types, Request, Required, or Recommended.

Course: Use the search field to find the course.
-
Start term: All terms, Any term, or select the specific term.
-
Status: All statuses, Pending, Approved, or Denied.

Select Next.

Under Students, there are several options available to add students:

Entire grade level(s) of students

Students in particular class(es) last year: This option allows you to apply the course request(s) to all students in a particular section of a course from the previous school year.

Once you have added the needed students, select Delete requests / recommendations.
On the Course requests panel, select students without enough requests to view students with the status Awaiting requests. You can select the edit icon for a student to add additional course requests and/or recommendations.
On the Course requests panel, select students awaiting approval to view students with the status, Awaiting approval. You can select the edit icon for a student to approve individual course requests or use Approve all to approve all course requests.
On the Course requests panel, select requests to view the Requests and recommendations list. To learn more about this work list, view Requests and recommendations list.
Schools that previously used Blackbaud's Education Edge 7 can use the Courses list in Academics to approximate the Course Requests Tally Report.
From Academics, select Scheduling and choose the Courses list. Then select to include Number of requests as a column in the report. You can filter and sort the list to mimic the report from Education Edge.
