SIS Roles & Responsibilities

Roles are assigned to users to establish which administrative tasks they can maintain. Within the , there are several roles:

  • Attendance Manager

  • Award Manager

  • Comments Manager

  • Nurse

  • Grading Manager

  • Learning Profile Manager

  • Online Signup Manager

  • Schedule Manager

When at least one of the above roles has been assigned to a user, s/he will be able to access the onRecord menu and the tasks associated with the assigned role(s).

Attendance Managers

Attendance Managers are responsible for establishing the initial attendance parameters and then overseeing the ongoing maintenance of attendance records.

Award Manager

Award Managers are responsible for establishing the initial award parameters and granting awards to students.

Comments Manager

Comments Managers are responsible for establishing the initial official note parameters. They are also responsible for overseeing the monitoring teams and approving official notes.

Nurse

The Nurse role allows school healthcare providers to create nurse visit and health records. This role is granted through the employment record, and not through manage roles like other managerial roles. To be compliant with HIPAA, Platform Managers are not able to see the nurse tasks through impersonation. Nurses will access their manager tasks from the Faculty persona.

Grading Manager

Grading Managers are responsible for establishing the initial grading parameters. They are also responsible for overseeing the ongoing setup and maintenance of grading events (i.e. progress reports, grade reports and transcripts).

Learning Profile Manager

Learning Profile Managers are responsible for creating all learning profile (IEP) forms. They can also complete and approve the learning profiles.

Online Signup Manager

Online Signup Managers are responsible for establishing the initial online signup parameters and then overseeing the online signup process.

Schedule Manager

Schedule Managers are responsible for establishing the initial schedule parameters and then overseeing the ongoing maintenance of the daily schedule. Schedule Managers also have access to Generate Schedules, which enrolls students in their classes.
