Important dates impact the default due date that appears when creating a charge. The default due date can be overridden for individual charges during creation, however.
For example, if Default using the is toggled and the 2nd of the next month is selected, then the next charge created will default to the 2nd day of the following month (e.g., April 2nd if it is March).
Payment plans will automatically override the default charge due date.
To create an important date:
Select Edit under Important dates
Choose between:
Do not default the date:
Newly created charges will not have a default charge due date. Billing clerks must manually assign a charge due date when creating the charge.
Default using the:
Newly created charges will automatically have a due date assigned. Select the day of the month to assign the charge due date, and select whether the charge due date is assigned on the current or next month.
Select Save and Close.
