Admissions Progress Text

Progress Text is a way for schools to communicate directly with prospective families from the Candidate Profile. A custom message can be created here for a variety of reasons such as relaying important information such as due dates, instructions on what steps families need to take, or other sorts of messages such as a greeting. Links to important documents or registrations can also be added as needed.

For example, you could start off with a simple welcome message, a description of the admissions process, an explanation of what to do, and maybe a link to documentation or a helpful video. From there, you could add some dates that they should know such as when applications are due, student orientation start times, and others. Add contact information if you want for the candidates to reach out with any questions they may have. The nice thing is, this is a blank slate, so you can customize it to better fit whatever your needs are.

Warning: These messages are not candidate specific, so schools should only enter information that all prospective families and candidates should see.

Admissions managers can add or change the message that displays to candidates from Admissions, Admissions setup, and then Candidate Progress Text. From here, enter a message that all candidates and constituents well see, then select Save to make the message live. In this case, there's no publish option or way to save a draft.

Once saved, the message displays on the Candidate's profile when viewing Admissions Progress.

Admissions Progress for Parents

When viewing the candidate profile from the Parent portal, selecting Parent and then the child’s name, the Admissions Progress page will appear with a banner and header. The header area features a picture of the candidate as well as important information like their entering grade, year, and other contact details.

Within the Admissions Progress section, you can see the applied checklist, each step, and where you are in the process. Use Hide completed to only display steps that are still active.

Tip: If you want to change the banner image, you can do so from Admissions Setup, then Candidate Progress Settings.
