Getting Parents Started with the Online Classroom
The online classroom experience allows Parents to stay up to date on their student’s learning and progress.
Tip: Once you've signed in, take a quick tour of the tools and features available to Parents. Select your name in the upper right corner, then select Getting Started.
Looking for your school's login page? Contact the school for their unique URL.

Although Parents can see their student's classes, assignments, grades, etc. when signed in, Students will need to log in to submit assignments and interact with their online classrooms.
All users sign in using their Blackbaud ID. With Blackbaud ID, your username is your email address. If you're unsure which email address you should sign in with, contact the school.
If you need to reset your Blackbaud ID password, see Have an issue with your password?

Most schools use Notifications to send email or text alerts to users about assignments, games, news, and more. You can edit your notifications by selecting your name in the right hand corner then select Settings and from the left, select Notifications.
From here, you can:
-
Input your phone number and email that you would like to use for notifications
-
Select which notifications you would like to receive. We would recommend signing up for all of the available assignment ones as well as the Announcement posted and News posted. Under Setup options, you can select which categories you would like to receive notifications for.
-
Sign up for bulk mail groups which schools use to send out bigger email notifications.

Your school may make various files and forms available to parents throughout the course of a school year. You can access these by selecting your name in the upper right, then select Files & Forms.

You can access your student's class information from their Progress tab and view all their assignments from the Assignments tab. To get to these, you'll need to use the Children drop down to select the name of the student you would like to view. From here, there are two tabs you should focus on:

Progress shows a snapshot of the student’s current school year. From here, you can:
-
Performance: Select Transcripts or Report Cards to expand a list of the available transcripts or report cards, then select the name of the transcript or report card to view it.
-
Conduct: Select the number of points to see a break down of the student’s infractions and their conduct status.
-
Attendance Summary: Select View History to view your student’s attendance history for the year. Select View Totals to view a break down of your student’s absences by excuse type.
-
Courses: Select the name of the course you would like to view to see the course’s Bulletin board, Topics, Assignments, and Roster.
-
Assignments: The number of assignments Due Today, Assigned Today, and Active for each course display under Assignments in the Courses tile.
-
See grade detail: Select this to see a breakdown of your student’s grade along with the assignment grades for the selected course. This will keep you up to date on how your student is doing in their course.
-

You can view your student's assignments for all courses from the Assignments tab on the student's profile. You can display them Day, Week, Month, or a customized date Range. You can also choose to view them by the Assigned date, date Active, or Due date. Select the title of the assignment to view the assignment details.
Alternatively, if you’d just like to view the assignments from one class, you can select the class title from your student’s Progress tab and then select Assignments. From here, you can filter by Date View and assignment Types.
Note: Parents cannot submit assignments for students. Students will need to log in order to submit assignments and interact with their class.

Schools may use the Resource board to post information on Single Sign-ons (SSOs) to other systems, forms, links, downloads, and much more. This is a great place to check for information from your school that is not directly related to your student's courses. You can access the Resource board for Parents by selecting Resources in the menu across the top of the page.

Directories house contact information for users at your school. Your school may have a directory that is just for Parents or Students. This is a great place to look for contact information for your student’s teachers, classmates, or parents of classmates. You can also create your own Directory called My Contacts, a personal directory of all the contacts you may need to frequently reach out to at your student’s school.
