Approve & Deny Course Requests
Online signup managers can manage course requests and recommendations for students.

Course Requests are made by the student or family, and may include additional notes for consideration.

Course Recommendations are made by staff on behalf of the student.
To get started:

Navigate to Academics.

Choose Scheduling and Requests and recommendations list.

Choose columns and edit Filters as needed.

Select the Edit icon beside a student name.

Under Requests, review the following:
-
Course
-
Preference
The preferred priority of the course. Lower numbers indicate higher priority. -
Start term
Choose which term the student will take the course, or choose Any term if the student can take it in any termNote: The course length needs to be considered when selecting a Start Term. For example, if your school has 2 terms and a course has a length of 2, the course would need to start in the first term.

Terms
Number of consecutive terms the course runs -
Alternate
Add or update an alternate course as well as its start term and length.Note: Course request managers can add more than one alternate request when adding a main request. This helps to ensure that students have all the necessary requests.

Change the Request status to Approved, and add any notes.

Under Recommendations, review the following:

Select the note icon beside "Add a request" to edit or create a note on the recommendation

To move a Recommendation to the Requests section for approval, select Add a request.

Select Apply changes.
Note: If you attempt to save a course request or recommendation but the student lacks a prerequisite, you might receive an error message. For more information on prerequisite notifications, see Course Request Settings .
Managers can decline course requests for students as needed.

Go to Scheduling, then Requests and recommendations list

Select the triple-dot icon beside a student's name, then Edit requests and recommendations.

Under Requests or Recommendations, select the trash can icon next to the appropriate course to delete the request.

Select Apply changes.
