Modify Section Attendance
As an Attendance Manager, you can take or edit attendance for any Academics, Activity, Advisory, or Athletics section.
To access Section Attendance in Academics, go to Attendance and then select Class attendance from the Related links section.
Note: To modify attendance for an entire day, or to record attendance by student, see Modify Student Attendance.
Take or modify attendance

Set the date you would like to see using the left and right arrows. The default view shows today's date, and you can return to this view by selecting Today.

Use the dropdown menus for Status, Group, and Level to display only the sections you want to see. You can sort any column by selecting the column header. Select a header again to switch between ascending and descending order.
Note: If you would like to modify attendance that has already been taken, set Status to Recorded.

Find the row with the name of the section you would like to view. If any students have been marked absent, a number in a red box on this row displays the number of absences.

To take or modify attendance, select Take Attendance. You will see menu options allowing you to mark the section as Locked or Class Canceled. Use the dropdown menu by each student's name to take their attendance, then select Save & Close when you are finished.

For classes that have already had their attendance taken, admins can clear it if needed. Keep in mind that this option will cause the class to be treated as if attendance had never been taken, though any attendance entries associated with the section will still be present. A Clear button will appear next to the other options in the list. Select this and a warning message appears, requiring confirmation before any data is removed.
Run attendance reports
Select Reports to select an attendance report to generate. The following reports are available:

Attendance History - By Section

Daily Absence Analysis - By Section

Manual Attendance Sheet - By Teacher and Section

Recorded/Not Recorded by Teacher

Select any report title to open a report generator in a new browser window. Select your settings for the report, then select Generate Report to see a preview of it. You can then download the report as a PDF, Word file, or Excel spreadsheet.

Pre-record attendance
An Attendance Manager can pre-record an absence, tardy, or other attendance record via Section Attendance.
To do this, use the right arrow to navigate to the future date. Find the section for which you would like to pre-record attendance information, and select Take Attendance. The process for recording future attendance works the same as taking attendance on today's date (see the above heading, "Take or modify attendance").
Attendance Managers can see pre-recorded attendance by navigating to the future date and setting the Status to All or Recorded. Sections with pre-recorded attendance will display the number of attendance records entered in a notification box on their row. Select Take Attendance to modify the records, or select Clear to start over.
