Report Card Access

In order to grant access to view report cards, your school must first grant access to the appropriate roles in Core, then set up access for specific report card templates in Academics.

Using the Report Card Builder task, Grading Managers can then determine which roles can view each report card and when. For each report card, Grading Managers can grant access to the following roles:

  • Students (this includes constituents in the Student and Alum roles).

  • Parents (this includes constituents in the Parent and Parent of Alum roles).

  • All school teachers (this gives constituents in the Teacher and Pending Teacher roles access to all students’ report cards).

  • Teachers (this gives teachers the ability to view report cards only for students they have/had in class).

  • Advisors (this includes constituents in the Advisor and Pending Advisor roles).

  • Dorm supervisors (this includes constituents in the Dorm Supervisor and Pending Dorm Supervisor roles).

  • Staff (this includes constituents in the Non-Teaching Staff and Pending Non-Teaching Staff roles).

Constituents will only be able to view a particular report card if they had enrollments at the time that the report card was published. For example, an alumnus can view a report card after he has graduated if he had course enrollments when the report card was published (and if the Alum role has access to view report cards in the Manage Roles task).

To prevent constituents from viewing a particular report card, Grading Managers can remove the publish date. To prevent an entire role from viewing report cards, Platform Managers can remove the role’s access in the Manage Roles task.
