Academics

Next meeting due date

When selecting Next meeting for an assignment Due date, the date selected will be at least one day after the Assigned date.

For example, if a class meets daily and a teacher creates an assignment on Monday morning, selecting Next meeting will set the Due date to Tuesday.

Full screen view of file submissions

For assignments with file submissions, teachers can now select the pop‑out icon next to the download icon to open the file in full screen.

Auto-save comments

This release also addresses an issue where grade, skill, and rubric comments did not save consistently.

Billing Management

Billing clerks can now set default GL accounts per billing year, helping ensure distributions post to the correct AR Summary and Deferred Revenue accounts each year.

When an override is set for a billing year, it’s used automatically; if no override is set, the global default accounts are used.

Billing clerks can now import charges and credits for groups using Student ID as the unique identifier, reducing matching errors and speeding up data entry.

To get started, choose From a spreadsheet in the Add charges to group workflow and select one of the new templates:

  • Student name with student ID

  • Student name with charge data and student ID

Core

You can now choose which roles to include when running Bulk Set Emergency Contacts, giving you finer control over who receives contact details.

Enrollment management

Schools can now enable and set up an Expire message for users when adding a new Decision type. When a decision date expires and when the decision is viewed after that date, the expired message will appear. This can be helpful when schools want to provide additional steps or instructions for what to do next. Please note that this feature launched on January 21.

Schools can now enable a new setting that displays the contract link in the acceptance message on the Candidate decision page. Please note that this feature launched on January 21.

In addition, the contract link on the Admissions progress page for a user with a single, valid contract will now directly open the contract directly rather than going to the Files and Forms page.

Extracurricular

In this update, we've replaced the older Podium experience of Community categories with the newer SKYUX style list. You can access the modern style list through the typical method of Extracurricular, Community Groups, and then Setup. Similar to other SKY lists, you can:

Search, add new categories, or change the column data being displayed.

Reorder or sort the columns.

On each row, select the ellipsis (...) to view more options, such as Edit, Delete, or Mark as inactive.

Tuition management

We've added Secondary payer name and Third‑party payer name as new Additional Fields for custom reports in the Family Export category.

To receive email notifications when the What’s new update appears, make sure to subscribe to the K12 community’s blog .

  1. Log into the community.

  2. Select Browse communities and choose the Blackbaud Education Management Solutions for K-12 Schools.

  3. Select Blog .

  4. Select Follow and then select your notification preferences:

    • Include in email digest

    • Notify me of new content

  5. Find your avatar or profile image in the upper right corner. Select this account menu and then select Account & Privacy Settings.

  6. Select Notification Preferences and review your settings.

    Select Followed Content and review your settings.

From the user community you can also:

  • discuss best practices and network with your peers at other organizations,

  • suggest new Ideas to enhance your Blackbaud experience,

  • add your comments and votes to Ideas your peers suggest,

  • review the status of existing Ideas as product management plans roadmaps for future updates,

  • and more.
