Manage Access to Create Advanced Lists by Role (EAP)

Use security roles to determine who can create advanced lists. If a user has at least one role that grants access, then they'll have access, regardless of their other roles.

  1. Go to Core.

  2. Select Reporting.

  3. Select Manage lists and then Manage basic and advanced lists. A list of basic and advanced lists appears.

Note: Schools participating in the early adopter program (EAP) can use a "sneaky link" url to access a new experience for managing basic and advanced lists. When you join the EAP, save the link to your browser's bookmarks. A list of basic and advanced lists appears. Not in the EAP? See basic lists and advanced lists instead.

  4. Select Manage access (above the list) and then Advanced Role access. A list of roles appears.

  5. To enable members of a role to create advanced lists, find the role and select Access.

  6. To remove creation right, clear the Access option.

  7. Select Save.

See Manage Basic and Advanced Lists.

Tip: You can also determine who can Run, Copy, Edit, or Manage specific lists. See Configure access for an advanced list by role for a specific list.
