BrightArrow Mass Communication

Blackbaud Education management provides an optional integration with BrightArrow, equipping schools with an automated notification service designed for emergency notifications, two-way messages, informational communications, and other school-related alerts and messages. The integration enables Blackbaud Education management and BrightArrow to share user, roster, and emergency contact data seamlessly.

Enable the integration with BrightArrow

Contact your Blackbaud Sales Representative to proceed. They will engage BrightArrow to provision your new or existing BrightArrow account.

Access the BrightArrow integration

The BrightArrow integration is accessible from several locations throughout Blackbaud Education Management, including:

• Core > Communication > Mass Communication

• Faculty > My Day > Mass Communication

• Faculty > Classes > Roster > Send Communication to > Go to Mass Communication

Faculty access to the BrightArrow integration can be disabled by removing the Faculty Mass Communication security task from the appropriate roles.

Data synced between Blackbaud Education Management and BrightArrow

BrightArrow pulls in user, roster, and emergency contact data directly from Blackbaud Education management. Lists containing the text “(sync)” update nightly with changes from Blackbaud Education management. The exact lists available to you may vary; for example, faculty will only see lists for each of their classes, advisories, athletic teams, and so forth.

Due to the one-way nature of the sync between the two platforms, changes to synced lists, such as contact edits, should be made in Blackbaud Education management, as the data in BrightArrow is overwritten when a sync occurs.

• All Parents

• Rosters for classes, advisory, athletic teams
