Parental Access
When a platform manager creates certain relationships for a student (such as grandparents or guardians) they can select Give parental access and List as parent.

Give Parental Access gives users the parent Role even though they are not technically parents, so they can access information published to parents.

List as a Parent ensures users are listed as the student's parent in reports, lists, and mail labels.

Select Core.

Select People finder.

In the Type a namefield, enter and select the name of the individual you want to work with. The selected individual's profile page appears.

Select Contact card.

Under Relationships, select Add relationship .

On the Add Relationship screen, in the I am adding a field select the relationship type and select Give Parental Access and List as parent if needed.
Only the following relationship types have the parental access: parent, guardian, caretaker, custodian, consultant, grandparent, great grandparent, step parents, uncle, and aunt.

Select Core.

Select People finder.

In the Type a namefield, enter and select the name of the individual you want to work with. The selected individual's profile page appears.

Select Contact card.

Under Relationships, select Manage relationships .

Select the appropriate options to edit the settings as needed.

Select Save.
