Visits and interviews
Under Visits and interviews, you'll be able to define notifications for each visit/interview type individually, rather than only defining one notification for all visit types and one for all interviews. In addition, you can define self-scheduling rules by type.
You also have a few ways to customize these lists, using the arrows to change the order the values or selecting Top to vault the option to the first position. Use Show inactive to display any values that have been marked as such, and then +Add type to create a new value as needed.

Managers enable self-scheduled visits and interviews by selecting the context menu and then Edit next to the value from either Interview types or Visit types. Copy can be used to create a duplicate of an existing value, while Delete will remove the value completely.
Warning: Deleting a value can’t be reversed and will instead need to be added again.
Under General, set the Type name you want to use and then Active to make it available for use. Next, select Allow self schedule to enable the self-schedule visits/interviews feature. Keep in mind that this is disabled by default.
Once turned on, you can add specific instructions for families using the self-scheduling feature as well as require approval before the visit/interview is confirmed officially. Additional optional features can be set here as well including:
-
Allow self rescheduling
-
Allow self cancellation
-
How many openings families can see
-
Control when visit/interview openings appear for self schedule families. Administrators can set how many days in the future it will show.
-
Control which visit/interview openings appear for self-schedule families. Administrators can also set the number of days the opening is shown.
Note: Admissions managers should remember to link the appropriate Visit/Interview types with the corresponding candidate checklist step. This controls which Types candidate families will see when self-scheduling. Edit the checklist step to enable/disable available Visit/Interview types.
Set up Self schedule, Candidate and family, and Participant email notifications for events like confirmations, cancellations, and reminders. Set each notification active or inactive as well as completely customize the message including the Subject, Email body, Name, and Reply E-mail.
Warning: Canceling a visit/interview is essentially deleting it, which means that it can't be recovered and will have to be manually re-added.

This is where you’d add the types of interviews your school typically performs. Examples may include things like in-person, remote, or anything specific to how your school handles its interview process.
Use +Add type to create a new entry and then Edit to change settings from the Name to whether or not it is active for use.

Similarly, Visit participant types should include values for roles that are taking part in the visit. For example, your school may want roles like Teacher, Administrator, Student, Candidate, Coach, or Parent, but ultimately, what you add here will be specific to your school’s needs.
Use +Add type to create a new entry and then Edit to change settings from the Name to whether or not it is active for use.
