Teachers can now allow a student to re-open and continue an assessment after submitting it, without clearing the student’s answers. Previously, teachers could only allow students to retake a submitted assessment, which erased all existing answers and required the student to start over.

To allow a student to re-open a submitted assessment, select Allow continue on the student's evaluation page.

In list view of the Assignment Center and class Assignments pages, a new Submitted column shows how many students have turned in online file or text submissions for an assignment. Teachers select the Submitted number to open a flyout that displays each student in the class, their submission timestamp, and gradebook indicators (e.g., Missing, Submitted before due date, Submitted after due date, etc.)

When withdrawing a student, the system now automatically deletes any future course requests to prevent scheduling tools from building schedules around a withdrawn student.

To get started, withdraw a student as usual. On the withdrawal confirmation screen, you’ll now see a list of the course requests that will be deleted before you complete the withdrawal.

Parents will now only see attendance type options (Absence, Early dismissal, Late arrival) in the submission modal when there are attendance reasons configured for that type. This helps prevent parents from selecting an option that has no available codes.

Note: During the setup process, at least one reason must be selected for at least one attendance type.

Enter grades by class has been transformed by moving off of Podium and into an updated SKY-style list. This enhancement provides administrators with additional data, including the count of required grades yet to be entered, and the number already recorded for each class section. Additionally, administrators can now leverage the same capabilities already available to teachers, such as Show previous grades and the new narrative view for traditional grade groups Grade Groups are used to link courses with Marking Periods..

Billing clerks no longer need to manually clean up credits created by failed enrollment deposit payments. When an enrollment deposit payment updates to Failed, the system now automatically prevents the payment from posting and removes any related credits.

If any related items were already posted, the system will automatically reverse what was posted and delete anything not yet posted, so account balances remain accurate.

Billing clerks can now prevent statement recipients from receiving past due balance notifications for specific students.

To get started, open a student’s billing profile, find the Billing settings section, and select Exclude from Past due balance notifications. When enabled, statement recipients who would normally receive a past due balance notification for that student will no longer be notified.

To help track this across students, the Past due balances list now includes an optional column. To add it, open the list, select Columns, and choose Send past due notifications.

We’ve adjusted the Add a payment workflow to make it easier to select when payments should be processed using a Blackbaud Merchant Services account.

• Toggle the new Process payment option and choose a Blackbaud Merchant Services account from the drop-down.

Reference number and reference date have been moved below the Process payment field.

The Deferred Revenue Schedule report in the Accrual category can now be scheduled to run.
