Use the calendar
All personas may have access to "school generated" calendars.
If a user has access to a calendar, but doesn't have access to an event category included in that calendar, then events from that category are excluded from the user's view of the calendar.
Users also have access to "persona generated" calendars.
Platform managers use roles to limit who can access each calendar. Platform managers also determine when each calendar is active or inactive, how calendars should appear, and more. To configure calendars, see calendar. To manage events (which appear in calendars), see events.
Schools create calendars to serve the school's specific needs. Some calendars may be based on iCal feeds from external sources (such as common public, government, and religious holidays). Others may be created manually for standardized tests, school and community events, celebrations, fund raising activities, deadlines, recommendations for personal and professional development, and more.

All personas can print and export calendars for use outside of the school's site.
From the view of a calendar grid or list, users can select to Print the calendar view. This triggers your internet browser’s print function.
Use your browser’s settings to adjust how the results should appear, such as whether to print in:
-
color vs greyscale.
-
portrait vs landscape.
You can also adjust the font size of the printed results; however, you’ll now use the Scale option from your browser’s printing settings to do so.
To include event details, select Show event details on the calendar, before you select Print.
The printed calendar includes the events shown from the view, but not additional events from the past or for the future beyond the current calendar view.
Users can export their calendars for use in another application (such as the native calendar app on a smartphone) by selecting the Feed icon while viewing their calendar grid or list.
Options for managing feeds from each of the user's calendar section will appear. Users can select whether to use a feed for the entire calendar or for individual calendars within a section (such as just games & practices).
By default, the feed's filter settings will match the events currently shown in the user's view of the calendar grid or list. However, users can edit these initial settings and the changes go into effect with the next refresh from those feeds.
Event categories that come from an iCal feed are not available through the outgoing calendar feeds. Events from iCal feeds may not appear in search results. Due to server caching, newly added and edited feeds may take up to an hour before they appear on the calendar. Users can select Refresh to manually refresh the feed. The feed indicates an "in process” status while the request is processing.
Some users (including parents) may see "duplicate" events in their calendars. These duplications are usually working as designed and are not errors (not "bugs").
Sometimes events may appear multiple times on a calendar view, such as if the user and one of their children are both affected by the event.
If an event exists on both user’s ‘My’ calendar and school-wide calendar, the event will only show a single time with the color of the first calendar that appears on the list of calendars.
Similarly, if an event appears on more than one school-wide calendar, it will appear for a user only a single time with the color of the first calendar in the list. As calendars are selected and deselected, the color of the event may change to match the specific calendar.
