Blackbaud Payment Services (BBPS) Account Management
To ensure compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and Payment Application Data Security Standards (PA DSS), we offer the Blackbaud Payment Service (BBPS). BBPS integrates with the 'Blackbaud's Education Management' products to store sensitive credit card and merchant account information in a secure environment. In your program's database, credit card numbers are replaced with reference tokens which BBPS uses to match the transactions to the applicable credit card information.
Before payment gateways other than DiamondMind can be added, BBPS credentials must first be created and enabled within Core.
In order to create a new account for BBPS you'll need to visit https://bbps.blackbaud.com. The user name is set once for your school and used with all Blackbaud products. Once created, the username cannot be changed but passwords can be.
The email address for this account should be the primary contact you have registered with Blackbaud and you will need to know your SiteID.
If you are unsure of your credentials, please contact support through support.blackbaud.com.
After your account has been created or if you already have credentials, the following steps will help you enable BBPS for use with various capabilities.
-
Platform managers must add the user(s) responsible for managing the BBPS account to the new payment services manager role under Core, Security , Roles, Payment services manager, Members.
-
A payment services manager must enter the BBPS user name and password that have been assigned to the school in the Payment Services task located under Core, Settings, Payment settings, Payment services. After the account has been successfully created, a lock icon indicates that everything has been correctly set up and the account is now active.
Before payment gateways other than DiamondMind can be added, BBPS credentials must first be created and enabled within Core. If you don't have credentials, make sure to reach out to your Blackbaud contact.
