Back to School - Assignments
The Assignment Center is the central location where faculty can manage and evaluate assignments for all of their classes. Access it by selecting My Day then Assignment Center. To manage assignments for a specific class, select Classes, choose a class, then select Assignments.
You can create assignments to collect in class, or add assignments with online file submissions that you can annotate to provide feedback. Review the Assessments Guide for details on creating online quizzes and exams. Or create Graded Discussionswhere students can submit responses and reply to responses added by their classmates.

In Preferences, you can set your preferred defaults for assignments, assignment lists, assignment imports, and more.
From your gradebook or the list view of the Assignment Center and class Assignments pages, select More, then Preferences. See Assignment Center for more details on managing your preferences. Assignments

-
From the Assignment Center or class Assignments tab, select More then Import Assignments.
-
Find and select the assignment(s) you want to import. Then select Next.
-
Find and select the section(s) you want to import the assignment to. Then select Next.
Note: If you would like the assignment to be included in the gradebook, you will need to use the Marking period filter.
-
Set the Assigned and Due dates and times and the Publish status for each assignment.
-
Select Save and close to complete the import.

To create a new instance of an assignment within the same class section, you can copy an assignment from the Assignment Center or from the Assignments tab in your class. Select the context menu next to the assignment, then Make a copy. This will create a new assignment called Copy of [assignment title]. This copy can be renamed and edited as needed.
Note: The Publish status will default to No on an assignment copy. You will need to update the status in order for the assignment to be visible to students.

You can use the student preview to see how an assignment displays for students. It's also helpful if you want to screen share or project an assignment for your class without showing any personally-identifiable information. To access the student preview of an assignment from the Assignment Center or Assignments tab in your class, just select the context menu next to the assignment, then See student preview.
