Giving Analysis Filters
When you analyze giving toward your organization's fundraising efforts in Analysis, Dashboards, the metrics under Development Overview, Giving — except Year-over-year performance — include all giving received over the past seven calendar days. To include only gifts that meet specific criteria, such as fundraising effort or date range, use the filters.
Tip: These filters are cumulative, so imagine an "and" between each. For example, if you specify both appeal descriptions and gift date range, you can analyze and compare gifts acquired through specific appeals during the same time period.

To analyze only gifts toward specific campaigns, choose them in the Campaign description filter and select Apply.
Tip: To find a specific campaign, search the Campaign description filter for its description.

Funds represent the donor's intent for how you should use or earmark a gift, such as toward a specific cause or financial purpose. To analyze only gifts toward specific funds, choose them in the Fund description filter and select Apply.
Tip: To find a specific fund, search the Fund description filter for its description.

Appeals are the solicitations used to bring in gifts, such as direct mailings, online donation pages, phonathons, auctions, or events. To analyze only gifts acquired through specific appeals, choose them in the Appeal description filter and select Apply.

With the Gift date filter, you can include giving during a recent time period.

For a time period such as the last week or month, select or enter the number of days worth of gifts to include in the Select last field.

To use a calendar to choose the number of days worth of gifts to include, such as three weeks or four months, select the start and end dates in the From and To fields.
Tip: When you save a view with the Gift date filter, you can analyze gifts during a set number of days from whenever you view the metrics. For more information, see Dashboards .

With the Revenue type filter, you can choose whether to analyze cash-in-hand giving or the overall commitment toward the campaigns.

Received — To analyze cash-in-hand giving, select this option to include donations; gifts of stock/property; and payments toward pledges, matching gifts, recurring gifts, and planned gifts.

Committed — To analyze the overall commitment, select this option to include pledges and matching gifts, less any write-offs; donations, gifts of stock/property; and payments toward recurring and planned gifts.
