Asset Transaction Adjustments

When you create a transaction adjustment, you change the distribution or amount of the asset transaction. The purpose of an adjustment is to reverse an incorrect post by creating another post with new distributions.

You can make transaction adjustments only to posted asset transactions.

Create a Distribution Adjustment

When you change the amount or distribution of a posted asset transaction, you'll enter the date and reason for the adjustment as well as any notes.

After you create the adjustment, details display on the asset transaction record. You can then edit or delete the adjustment if needed.

Edit an Adjustment

All adjustments associated with an asset transaction display on the asset transaction record.

To edit the transaction date and distribution details, select View distributions next to an adjustment.
