Credit Memo Distributions
Credit memo distributions include account distribution details such as debit and credit accounts, amount to distribute, and whether to classify distributions using projects or transaction codes. You add credit memo distribution information when you add a new credit memo.
Tip: When you view distributions on the credit memo record, select Extended view to expand the full list. Use filters to find distributions easier.
To edit or delete distributions on an existing credit memo, edit the credit memo (from Payables, Credit memos or directly from a credit memo record). Under Distributions, update or remove distributions as needed.
Note: When you change the amount or distribution of a posted invoice, you're prompted to create invoice adjustments. For more information, see Invoice Adjustments.
Tip: Credit memos created from a vendor record automatically use the default distributions association with the vendor.
