Add or Edit an Export Group

An export group is a saved set of existing exports that you generate together with a single action. Export groups streamline recurring tasks, such as month-end close or a board report, so you spend less time running each export on its own.

Note: Export groups require a subscription to Queue. Contact your Account Executive for details.

  1. From Export, under Groups, select New export group. If your organization already has a group, select Add instead.

Tip: The steps below also apply to editing. To update a group's name, description, exports, or users, select Edit from a group's menu, then save your changes.

  2. Enter a name and description for the group.

  3. Select Add export, then select General Ledger, Payables, Receivables, Treasury, or Fixed Assets to find the exports you want. Select each export to include, then select Save. Add at least two exports, up to a limit of 20.

Tip: You can only choose exports from subledgers you have permission to access. If you don't see an export you expect, ask your admin to check permissions for that subledger.

  4. Under Users, search for the people who should receive the group's results. To add someone who isn't in the list, select New, enter their email, Save then Select the user.

  5. Select Save. You return to the Groups tab.

    • To generate a group's exports, select Generate exports from a group's menu. As each export finishes, a notification shows its status. While an export is still running, the notification shows how many records have processed and how much time has passed. Select Download on a completed export's notification to get the results. The users added to the group also receive the results by email.

    • Each export in the group runs using its current setup. If one export fails, the rest still complete. The date under Last generated updates once the group finishes.

    • To delete a group, select Delete from a group's menu, then confirm. This removes the group, but its exports and past results stay available.

Tip: An export group needs at least two exports and at least one user before you can save it.
