Vendor Activity

The Activity tile on a vendor record brings key transaction details together in one place. You can review vendor activity, sort transactions, and create invoices and credit memos without leaving the vendor record. This centralized view helps you reduce context switching and stay focused on completing your work.

Tip: To update vendor details or add attachments, open the vendor record and make changes in the appropriate tile. Activity updates are automatic after you save changes.

Use the Activity summary to analyze vendor performance and transaction history over time. The summary highlights trends and totals so you can quickly assess vendor activity without reviewing individual records.

Open the Activity Summary

  1. Open the vendor record.

  2. In the Activity tile, select View all activity.

The Activity summary page opens and displays transaction totals for the vendor. Voided transactions are excluded so totals reflect posted activity only.

To access filter activities, select Filter on the Activity summary page, set the filters you want to apply, then select Apply filters. For more details, see Vendor Activity Filters.

Analyze Activity Trends

The interactive graph summarizes vendor activity for the past four years. Use the graph to identify patterns, compare yearly totals, and evaluate vendor relationships over time.

You can select which activity types appear in the graph and hover over data points to view annual totals.

The graph includes:

  • Invoiced – Total amount invoiced for the selected year.

  • Paid – Total amount paid for the selected year.

  • Credited – Total amount credited for the selected year.

  • Discounted – Total amount discounted for the selected year.

This visual overview helps you spot changes in spending, payment behavior, and credit usage quickly.

Find and Review Transactions

The transaction list at the bottom of the Activity summary page provides direct access to individual records. Use this list to review details, confirm statuses, and troubleshoot issues.

You can:

  • Use search to locate specific transactions.

  • Open a transaction directly from the Transaction column.

  • Move and sort columns to focus on the information that matters most.

Tip: When transactions span multiple pages, use the page navigation at the end of the list to move between pages efficiently.
