Yodlee Support

Yodlee connects with thousands of banks across the world, offering you a reliable way to download transactions in Financial Edge NXT. This is key because most banks don't offer a direct connection.

Anytime you use a third-party financial aggregator to download transactions, issues with feeds and transactions may occur. When you encounter an issue, contact Blackbaud Customer Support to provide details and determine next steps. Be aware it's possible we'll need to contact Yodlee to resolve the problem. If so, Support will communicate updates with you as soon as Yodlee provides them. This may take several days or even weeks, but we are continuing to track the issue with them.

Tip: In the interim, we recommend monitoring and reconciling your online transactions to make sure they're processing correctly to Financial Edge NXT. For credit card feeds, you can enter invoices and mark them paid by credit cards.

We cannot resolve all issues with Yodlee that you may encounter. Review the summary below to help manage expectations about types of service requests we have success resolving.

Common issues Blackbaud Customer Support might be able to resolve:

• Errors connecting to a bank account for the first time after trying multiple times.

• Missing transactions for a bank account.

• Viewing incorrect bank account balances or missing balances.

• Viewing incorrect account info.

Resolving issues with Yodlee's input

• Missing a bank account in Financial Edge NXT that appears when you log in to the bank's website.

• Duplicate transactions. For more details, see Duplicate transactions.

Unresolvable issues with Yodlee (Not supported)

Note: There are no subscriptions or per-transaction fees for bank or credit card feeds. This optional functionality is primarily dependent on the financial institution's ability and inclination to create and support the feed with Yodlee, and does not result in any charge to our customers on their subscription billing for Financial Edge NXT. If there's a need or preference, bank reconciliation options are available in Financial Edge NXT without the use of bank or credit card feeds. For more information, see Review Register.

• A limitation in Yodlee’s API prevents credit card number level transaction details in Financial Edge NXT. You commonly can't download credit card numbers associated with the transaction when multiple cards are issued for a single account. This is because we typically download data at the account number level. For more information, review Subsidiary cards do not show in Financial Edge NXT credit card feed.

• Two-factor authentication settings that disconnect the bank account and force authenticating again. This is a bank's requirement that isn't controlled by Blackbaud or Yodlee.

• For some of the major U.S. Banks, Yodlee has an established relationship where the banks provide a direct feed to Yodlee’s database.  These feed sites do not rely on screen-scraping to gather transactions, so they are generally less susceptible to site changes.  However, if there are issues with the financial data, Yodlee is dependent on the bank to make any code changes or fixes.

• For Open banking connections, Yodlee and Blackbaud are reliant on the financial institution providing the appropriate information via the Open banking API.

• Due to dependencies on the bank's website which are out of the control of either Yodlee or Blackbaud, Yodlee is not able to provide any guarantee that the feed will work for any given bank. 

• Missing transactions before a disconnect.

• Missing transactions due to inactivity for more than 90 days.

• Yodlee does not support any customizations directly from a financial institution (Visa Commercial Format file, SFTP/FTS endpoint connectivity).

• We only support bank and credit card feeds in Financial Edge NXT production environments. Yodlee code fixes are specific to the Financial Edge NXT environment, therefore test environments are not supported.

• Bank account types that Yodlee doesn't support.

• Though Yodlee provides feeds for a variety of account types (bank, credit, investment, debit, etc). Financial Edge NXT only supports bank and credit card feeds, investment accounts and debit cards are not supported in Financial Edge NXT.

• Missing accounts.

• New or small banks that are going through a testing period with Yodlee.

• Small banks that become unsupported due to low usage.
