Attachments
You can upload or link files as attachments. This includes files or links to images, PDFs, Word documents, or Excel spreadsheets.
After you save an attachment, select the name, URL, or icon to open it. For URLs, a new browser tab opens. For images, a preview displays. You can download it to your local environment from the preview or you can select the link to download the file if your browser doesn't support the preview.
Tip: Attachments have a 25 MB file size limit. If you need to attach a file over 25 MB, we recommend you save it in a cloud storage account such as Dropbox or Google Drive and then attach the link.
-
Permissions — To restrict who can access attachments, assign users to a role with permissions for view, add, edit, and delete. From Control Panel, Security, select Role management. Edit the role you need, select Show permissions for Record tasks, and select the permissions for Media. After this is complete, verify the users have the expected permissions.
-
Edit attachments — Under Attachments, select the menu for an attachment, then select Edit. Update the name, type, and date as necessary and then Save.
-
Delete — TYou can delete an attachment at any time. For example, you may have included an incorrect file or broken link. Under Attachments, select the menu for an attachment and select Delete.
