Configure EFT Remittance Email
When an EFT payment completes in Financial Edge NXT, a remittance email automatically goes to the vendor with details about the payment. If you don't have the email branding template customized already, you configure an organization wide template to control the branding, content, and invoice details for this email. From the payment record, you can view delivery history and resend the email if needed, without voiding the payment.
To set up your remittance template, go to Settings, Treasury, Communications, and select EFT Remittance email.
Note: Only users with admin permissions for Payables and Treasury can configure the EFT remittance email template.
Configure your EFT remittance email template
Your organization uses a single template for all EFT remittance emails. A default template is included so vendor communications continue without interruption. You can customize the template at any time, and your changes apply to all subsequent EFT payments.
From the EFT Remittance email settings page, select Email configuration to open the template wizard.
-
Name — Enter a name for the template (up to 100 characters) and the organization name as you want it to appear in the email. You can also add an optional internal description.
-
Branding — Upload a logo to appear in the email header. The logo must be a PNG or JPG file, no larger than 2 MB. You can preview how it appears before saving. To send without a logo, you can skip this step and the organization name appears instead.
-
Content — Enter the email subject line and body text. Use merge fields to personalize the email with real payment data. Available merge fields include:
-

-

Remittance detail — Select which invoice columns to include in the remittance detail section of the email, such as invoice number, invoice date, and amount paid.
After you complete all steps, save the template. The updated template applies to all EFT payments going forward.
View remittance details on a payment record
After an EFT payment completes, the remittance email sends automatically. From the payment record, select Remittance to review what was communicated to the vendor.
Remittance displays:
-
Remittance status — Whether the remittance was sent, with the date and time of the most recent send
-
Sent to — The email address the remittance was delivered to
-
Template used — The name of the org-wide template used when the email was sent
-
Subject — The rendered subject line of the email
-
Delivery history — A timestamped log of each send attempt and its result
Note: If the vendor doesn't have a primary email address on file when the payment completes, the email doesn't send. To update the vendor's email, go to the vendor record and add a primary email address.
Resend a remittance email
If a vendor didn't receive the remittance email or asks you to send it again, resend it from the payment record. The payment's status remains Completed. You don't need to void or process the payment again.
-
Open the EFT payment record and select Remittance.
-
Select Resend remittance.
-
Review the recipient and remittance summary, then select Resend.
The email goes to the same recipient as the original email. A new entry appears in Delivery history from Remittance.
