Current Periods

From Settings, General ledger, Current fiscal periods, view a list of currently open periods along with their start dates, end dates, and status. You can also edit the current and previous fiscal years or add a new one based on the current year. For details about managing fiscal years, see Manage All Fiscal Years.

To close a period, under Status, select Open. When the status changes to Closed, the period is "soft-closed." Soft-closing a period prevents posting to it, but you can re-open the period if needed.

Note: You must have permissions to open or close a period. If you don't have them, the status is locked for each period.
