Batch Records
From the batch record, you can track and manage all batch details. Each record displays status and summary info, such as total debit and credit amounts, description, and batch type, as well as the batch’s distributions and transactions.
To access a batch record, go to General ledger. Under Related links, select Post history. In the Batch ID column, select a batch to open.

Before you to the general ledger, select Validate batch to make sure there are no transaction exceptions.
When validation completes, select the notification at the top right to open the validation report and save or print it. You must resolve any exceptions before posting.

When validation runs without exceptions, select Post to update the general ledger with the transactions in the batch. For more details, see Post to general ledger.
Note: Before posting, review the Transactions tab to make sure every transaction you want to post is in the batch. If not, delete the batch and add a new one that includes the transactions you need. For more details, see Missing transactions.

If you realize transactions are missing in your batch, delete the batch and add a new one to include the missing transactions. You can do this from the Transactions ready to post link on the General ledger page or from a post list. For more details, see Missing transactions.
Note: You can't delete a posted batch.

The Attachments tab stores the most recent post reports for the batch. Use these to identify and resolve exceptions before posting to the general ledger.
