View and Respond to Your Financial Aid Decision

After you submit your financial aid application, your school reviews your information and makes a decision. Your school communicates its decision through a financial aid decision letter, which you can view in the parent portal. When your decision letter is available, Financial Aid Management sends you an email notification. The email lets you know that your letter is ready to review, but it does not include any decision details.

If your school allows it, you may also respond to the award directly from the portal.

View Your Financial Aid Decision Letter

You can access your most recent financial aid decision letter from the parent portal.

  1. Sign in to the Blackbaud Financial Aid parent portal.

  2. Under Communications, select your decision letter to view the details of your financial aid award.

Respond to a Financial Aid Decision (If Available)

Some schools allow parents to respond to a financial aid award directly in the parent portal. Available response options depend on your school’s settings.

If responses are enabled, you may see options to:

  • Accept the award

  • Decline the award

  • Appeal the award decision (if appeals are allowed)

If you select Decline or Appeal, you can enter additional details explaining your selection before submitting your response.

If your school does not allow award responses, you can still view your decision letter in the portal, but response options will not appear.
