Blackbaud ID for Blackbaud Financial Aid Management

Blackbaud ID (BBID) gives users at your school access to all of their Blackbaud products and services, including Financial Aid Management, Raiser's Edge, the full suite of education management solutions, and more — with a single email address and password.

In Settings > Manage Users, you can view the Blackbaud ID email address assigned to a user and their Invitation status.

  • Registered: Registered indicates the user has a Blackbaud ID and they have completed setting up their account by accepting the email invitation.

  • Unregistered: Unregistered indicates the user still has their Blackbaud Financial Aid Management login credentials or the user does not log into the site.

  • Awaiting response: User has been invited to sign into Blackbaud Financial Aid Management with BBID, but they have not accepted their invitation and signed in yet.

To update a user's login experience so they sign in with Blackbaud ID, assign their Blackbaud ID email.

  1. In Settings > Manage Users, search for the user.

  2. Select the context menu > Edit user.

  3. Enter the user's email address in Blackbaud ID email.

  4. Select Save.

Tip: A user's Blackbaud ID email must be unique to the user. Multiple users cannot share a Blackbaud ID email.
